More details from the 2010 session can be seen here! | | Sunday School and Education | Sunday school at New Creation meets on Sunday mornings, during the regular worship service. Children begin service with their families and then are dismissed for Sunday school after the welcome, singing, and prayer.
Lessons in Sunday school focus on Bible stories and Jesus' messages of kindness, love, peace, and forgiveness - and how they relate to children's lives today!
Classes offered on Sunday Mornings: - Preschool - Our preschool class is offered to our younger students ages 3-Kindergarten. Preschool is a time of hearing, seeing, and feeling Jesus in the lives of children. Children will hear stories, sing songs, play games, or even do some simple crafts. There is also time just to play (this class is found in our nursery/playschool room just off of the sanctuary).
- Elementary Class - We offer a combined elementary class for children in 1st - 6th grade. Children are dimissed after opening music in service to join their teacher and fellow students. Students will play games, read from the Bible, learn memory verses, participate in skits and more. Class is fun and interactive, a great way to learn about the Bible. (class meets in the fellowship hall, which is adjoining to the kitchen and just off the sanctuary).
- Jr high & Sr High Youth - For our 7th-12th grade students we offer a more in-depth study of the Bible. Each Sunday, students read through different stories from the Bible, learning God's truths and how they can be applied to their lives today (class meets in the youth trailer, located just outside the church).
Confirmation classes, led by the pastor, are generally for junior-high aged children. They are guided together through a faith formation process, which delves into the Bible, the teachings of the church, and encourages them to think carefully about their beliefs. |
